X-Play Comedy: Why Is The Next ‘Legend of Zelda’ Game Taking So Long?

Gee, we sure haven't seen Link and Tingle from the Legend of Zelda games for awhile...I wonder what happened to them?

X-Play wondered too and worked hard to catch up with the pair in an effort to answer the question, "Why is the next Legend of Zelda game taking so long?"

Check out the video footage:

Video Game Burlesque Show? Yes Really.

So I have a good friend  that puts on themed burlesque shows here in Los Angeles.  Past shows have included comic book and circus freak themes, next up is Alice in Wonderland. Each that I've seen has been entirely epic and totally awesome.  To answer the question rattling around in your head(s) - its not full nude (they wear pasties) and the show always straddles the perfect line between classy, hot and super cool.

Last week I put a bug in her ear about doing a video game themed show - frankly its something I'd want to see, and figured I could exploit it for this here fancy internet website.

She's all about it, and wanted suggestions as to who'd be the best characters for something like this.  You can probably see where I'm going with this.  I want to know which video game characters you'd want to see in an epic, classy burlesque show.  Leave your suggestions in the comments... I'll pool them all together and we'll go from there.

I will let you all know when this is going down, and if you can't make it to Los Angeles that weekend, you can count on TheFeed to be there, shoot it in glorious high-def and bring you all sorts of photos. We're good like that.

You can find some inspiration in our old Video Game Vixens photo gallery, or pretty much anywhere on the internet.

Ready? GO!

Google Flags Entire Internet as Malware, Everybody Panic

Sometime late Friday/ early Saturday morning, Google flagged the ENTIRE internet as malware.  Had you been awake and Googled anything during this time FROM ANYWHERE ON THE PLANET, every result would have included a link that said "This site may harm your computer".

Everything appears to be back to normal now, so feel free to go back to Google image searching all of the tentatcle porn you can eat again, just make sure your Mom doesn't walk in on you again.  That last time was AWKWARD.

X-Play Review: ‘Afro Samurai’

After picking up a lot of buzz for a licensed game, Afro Samurai has finally hit shelves. Samuel L. Jackson voices the hero, Afro, as you control him, slicing and dicing everything in your path.

Yeah, it's bloody. Yeah, you can chop people in half. Yeah, it looks great. But the question is, how does it play?

Sure it seems like a fun concept, but there are a lot of problems that can plague a game like this and it's time to find out if Afro Samurai rises above them or succumbs to them in this X-Play review.

Nintendo’s Satoru Iwata Thinks E3 2009 Wii Games Will Help Conquer PlayStation 2

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo's president, believes that the Wii will beat out the PlayStation 2's installed base of over 140-million. During a recent investor presentation, Iwata claimed that the company will deliver the winning blow with games that will be announced at E3 2009.

"It is not impossible for Wii’s total sales to exceed the final install base of PS2. Wii still has much more room for expansion. We can expect more sales of software in the next fiscal year than in the current year. With what kind of software is Nintendo going to achieve this goal? Well, it will be shown at E3 to be held in the U.S. this June."

Iwata's words are an interesting reminder of how far ahead Nintendo is in the current console wars. The company seems mildly concerned with Sony's PlayStation 3 and Microsoft's Xbox 360. It appears that its is focused on more ambitious goals, like toppling the PS2. Meanwhile the competition is extremely concerned with 2009. While Wii sales have outpaced the PS2's initial run, some people -- including many excellent readers of TheFeed -- feel that the Wii won't have the PS2's legs.

What do you think Iwata has in store for E3 2009? Do you think it's enough to enable the Wii to beat the PS2 sales record? Or do you think the Wii will fall short?

THQ Unleashes ‘UFC 2009 Undisputed’ Site On The Eve Of BJ Penn Vs. GSP

THQ has launched the official site for its upcoming game UFC 2009 Undisputed. The launch was cleverly timed to take advantage of the hype surrounding tomorrow's bout between BJ Penn and Georges St-Pierre at UFC 94. Mixed martial arts fans will find some interesting features on the site. According to THQ's press release:

"The site will also offer an extensive community experience. Branded as The Octagon, the community portal is slated to feature in-depth information about UFC 2009 Undisputed, including developer blogs and other exclusive content. In addition, readers may participate in discussion forums, as well as take advantage of contests and polls surrounding UFC’s Pay-Per-View schedule."

The site actually looks pretty cool; while it's not as slick as Platinum's new digs, it's certainly a cut above the typical video-game promotion site. As a gamer and a fight fan, I'm looking forward to THQ's updates. UFC 2009 Undisputed is slated for a spring 2009 release on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

So who do you have for UFC 94? BJ or GSP? They're both phenomenal fighters. I'm rooting for BJ, but I don't think he can pull it off. War BJ!!!
